About the role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer who will be responsible for the expert development of solutions designed by our product team and architects to meet customer requirements. This is a full-time position working with a global core development team. This role will be involved in all stages of the SDLC and provide valuable feedback for the product team and architects to ensure solutions are technically and visually the best for Red Piranha.

Day to day this role will see you:

  • contribute to the design, architecture, and ongoing quality of the product.

  • perform code reviews and provide feedback to other developers that will help improve the quality of our code

  • develop code that meets Red Piranha's standards, is performant, and conforms to accessibility and quality guidelines.

  • enjoy a friendly and collaborative work environment in a team who own it and find a way

  • contribute your ideas to product and architecture, and sovereign capability

  • alternate between developing solutions, leading projects, and managing project team members

  • participating as a team member and mentoring peers and juniors to assist in uplifting their capabilities and helping to ensure delivery of quality solutions.

  • providing estimations for work and taking ownership to meet those estimations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Exceptional knowledge of C/C++ Python, Java

  • Exceptional experience using frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, MVC, GIT

  • Exceptional experience with unit testing frameworks for front and back-end code

  • Experience with SQL Server, Mongo, and databases

  • Good knowledge and experience with micro services architecture

  • experience with TCP/IP, MPLS (Traffic Engineering, BGP IGP) and SNMP, SD-WAN, NFV, NVF

  • Experience with Red Hat operating system and SE Linux

  • Experience with cross-cutting concerns in web-development, such as security, performance, and accessibility

  • Good knowledge of security and networking-related products is desirable

  • Ability to gain Australian defence security clearance.
