The Latest Red Piranha News

As we enter the last month of 2025, it’s an ideal moment to reflect on a year defined by growth, innovation, and continued commitment to strengthening cyber resilience. Across the industry, organisations have been challenged to mature their security posture, and this year, we have supported that journey through our Knowledge Sprints, diving into topics like Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in Crystal Eye, Crystal Eye Passive Encryption Control Application, mastering Threat Hunting, and other essential features in Crystal Eye. You can revisit our Knowledge Sprint Tech Sessions here.

It has also been a milestone year for Red Piranha, as we expanded our Security-First SASE architecture - adding nine new global Points of Presence (PoPs), strengthening performance and protection for customers worldwide. We launched our Managed XDR Networking Engineering Service and enhanced our Partner Program, reinforcing our mission to deliver accessible, scalable, and sovereign cybersecurity solutions. We were also honoured to be named a winner in the Global InfoSec Awards at RSA Conference 2025, a recognition that reflects the dedication of our team and the trust of our partners and customers.

Looking ahead, we are gearing up for one of our most significant releases yet: the upcoming launch of Crystal Eye 6.0, bringing new capabilities designed to further enhance visibility, control, and overall cyber maturity. Just earlier this week, we gave our partners and customers an exclusive view into what’s new and upgraded in Crystal Eye 6.0.

Thank you for being part of our journey throughout 2025. As we head into the holiday season, we extend our sincere appreciation for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to sharing more innovations and insights with you in the new year.

Wishing you a safe, restful, and joyful festive season, and a successful start to 2026.

Crystal Eye Platform Updates

Crystal Eye December Update

We’re excited to share the latest updates to the Crystal Eye OS. This month’s 5.5 release brings improvements across Active Directory authentication, AI event escalation, user interface clarity, and upgrade behaviour. The Marketplace is now more responsive, and Rollback actions clean up configurations more reliably, helping ensure smoother system maintenance.

Crystal Eye 5.5 also now includes Bridge Interface, enabling transparent inline deployment without changing existing network addressing or routing. This makes it easier than ever to deploy Crystal Eye in complex or sensitive environments while still providing full TDIR/MDR capability.

If you haven’t upgraded to 5.5 yet, here’s what you’re missing:

  • Link Aggregation (LACP) support
  • Entra ID Management and Policy Configuration
  • Entra ID SSO Authentication for WireGuard VPN
  • SD-WAN monitoring improvements
  • Updated Risk Auditing and CEASR policy management
  • DAS (Declarative Authorisation Service) for granular SaaS policy enforcement
  • Bridge Interface deployment
  • A range of UI and reliability enhancements across the platform

Upgrading is free and available to all Crystal Eye systems running version 5.0.

Service Spotlight: Vulnerability Assessment
& Penetration Testing

News3

Red Piranha’s Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) services are designed to give organisations a clear, evidence-based view of their real-world security posture.

As a CREST ANZ-certified and ISO/IEC 27001-accredited provider, Red Piranha’s testing team works under proven policies and tightly controlled processes, from initial scoping and NDAs through to test execution and data handling. Every engagement starts with a formal, signed-off scope that defines what will be tested, how it will be tested, and how sensitive information will be protected. Using industry-recognised frameworks such as OWASP, OSSTMM, PTES, NIST and ISSAF, the team identifies and safely exploits vulnerabilities across web and mobile applications, internal and external infrastructure, and specialist scenarios including red teaming and social engineering.

The outcome is not just a list of issues, but a comprehensive, business-ready report that explains what was found, how it could be abused, and what it means in terms of risk to the organisation. Red Piranha provides a prioritised remediation plan so that security and IT teams know exactly where to focus first, helping them address the most critical weaknesses quickly and move towards higher cyber maturity.

Backed by Australian-built technology and a globally active security team serving sectors such as critical infrastructure, defence, government, healthcare, financial services, and education, Red Piranha’s Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing services give both technical stakeholders and executives a clear, contextualised view of strengths, gaps, and the practical steps required to harden their environment.
