The Latest Red Piranha News

After an eventful last month, here we are!

A big thank you to all our partners for attending our April regional partner events in Delhi, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.

It is always a pleasure meeting our partners and engaging in conversations about cybersecurity and how our service/product offerings allow our partners to gain a significant competitive edge and enjoy peace of mind.

As a follow-up to our regional partner events, earlier this month, we successfully delivered the Crystal Eye Essentials Module 1 session and, last week, the Module 2 training session for our partners.

We have officially kicked off the 2024 award season and are excited to announce that Red Piranha has won big at this year’s RSA Conference, winning in three categories. We have also been named as one of the finalists in four different categories at the Australian Cyber Security Awards 2024. Read more about it below.

News3

Now, back at home... We are delighted to share with everyone that we have been named as one of the finalists in four different categories (Network Cyber Security Business of the Year, SIEM Provider of the Year, SOC Provider of the Year, and Threat Detection Business of the Year) at the Australian Cyber Security Awards 2024.

We would also like to congratulate our Executive Director, Richard Baker, for his nomination in the ‘Cyber Security Professional of the Year - Government and Defence’ category. The Australian Cyber Security Awards celebrate individuals and businesses making noteworthy contributions to cybersecurity.

The winners will be announced on June 20, 2024.

Crystal Eye XDR Update

This month’s update includes Security Patches to address an isolated risk of information disclosure along with several enhancements and bug fixes. These updates are automatically published to all Crystal Eye appliances, so no action is required unless automatic updates have been manually disabled by system admins.

For more information on these updates, please visit our forum for the release notes.

Work continues to the release of field upgrades to Crystal Eye Enterprise 5.0 (CEOS 5.0) with preparation of production infrastructure to support the field upgrade process.

We aim to start communicating with Partners and End Clients regarding the release of CEOS 5.0 upgrades in the coming weeks.

At this point, we would like to reiterate that CEOS 4.0 has reached end-of-life and is no longer receiving software updates. We are in touch with Partners and End Clients running 4.0 to assist them in the 10-minute process of ensuring they are running 4.5.

This is a prerequisite to access CEOS 5.0 and all the advanced features it will bring.

Service Spotlight: SOC-as-a-Service

News3

An in-house Security Operations Centre (SOC) helps organisations achieve complete visibility and control of their information security; however, building one is a complex task as it is expensive and time-consuming.

The effectiveness of a SOC team hinges on the technology used in operations, the risk to those operations and the capability to detect, respond, and recover. It requires careful planning and ongoing evaluation to ensure seamless interoperability, eliminate blind spots, and streamline security operations.

Red Piranha's SOC-as-a-Service is a managed security service offering organisations round-the-clock monitoring and protection, strengthening their security posture. It saves organisations from the complexity of managing an in-house SOC and reduces the total cost of ownership for maximum security outcomes.

Our SOC-as-a-Service equips organisations with human-machine teaming, giving them access to our security experts with state-of-the-art technology for complete visibility and actionable intelligence in real-time across the network, endpoints, and cloud tenancies.

Here are some benefits of our SOC-as-a-Service:

  • Get cohesive protection against APTs, known and unknown threats, Living-off-the-Land (LOTL) attacks and more.
  • Full coverage Threat Detection, Investigation & Response (TDIR) with on-demand Incident Response (IR) via our defence-ready 24/7/365 MDR service.
  • World-leading cyber threat intelligence allows contextualisation for actionable protection, detection, and response.
  • On-demand digital forensics and proactive threat hunting.
  • Instantly uplift security with Australian defence-ready incident response capabilities.
  • Improve operational security and boost staff productivity.
  • Reduce the implementation time and TCO with our integrated technology platform.

Our holistic approach to security offers organisations peace of mind, knowing that every serious attempt to breach their systems is detected and thwarted.
